Fresh from the entrance of three newbies and a shock elimination, this evening saw the remaining Love Island contestants get the chance to recouple.

A text to the group yesterday announced: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the girls will choose which boy they want to couple up with. #manofthemoment”

Since the last recoupling plenty had changed in the villa from the new Islanders to Michael’s renewed feelings for Amber.

Here’s who recoupled with who on Love Island and the current couples…

Love Island 2019 couples

Before the recoupling, Amber admitted she was in two minds about getting back with Michael or coupling with new boy Greg.

“I honestly don’t know what to say. It’s a weird one and it’s a hard one,” she said.

When making her decision, Amber said: “It has been the hardest decision that I’ve had to make. I really don’t know what the right thing to do is, it’s hard.

“I’ve got one boy, we’ve had a history, we’ve had our ups and downs but I can’t deny that there’s a connection there.

“And then I’ve got another guy that’s came in and put a smile back on my face when I’ve been miserable…”

Following the recoupling the new couples were immediately put to the test in a new challenge.

The couples had to write down answers to a number of questions on their chalkboards. The boys were up first and had to match their answer to their girl’s. It was then the girls’ turn to do the same.
