What happened to Anton on Love Island?

Anton Danyluk returns to the Love Island 2019 villa tonight - but where has he been and what happened?

Yesterday evening's (Wednesday, July 17) highlights show didn't feature the Islander after he spent the night away from the villa.

Feeling ill, Anton wasn't seen in the last episode but has not quit the series and will be back.

ITV explained in a short statement: "After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight's episode. He has since returned to the villa."

In this evening's episode, Anton returns and announces: "I’m back! I’m feeling the best I’ve ever felt in here."

He adds: "I’m so happy to be back with my family and see the beautiful Belle.”

Minus Anton, last night's episode saw new Islanders Greg O’Shea, Harley Brash and India Reynolds enter the villa.

They first made their appearance the night before, each inviting one of the current Islanders out on the date. Greg picked Amber, Harley chose Ovie and India selected Chris.

In this Wednesday's show, Amber arrived in the Hideaway and met Greg for the first time.

Speaking of his decision to choose Amber for a date, Greg said “I just thought you deserved a date after all the drama that’s been happening. You deserve to be spoilt a bit.”

After their dates with Ovie and Chris, Harley and India arrived at the villa and meet the rest of the Islanders for the first time. They're soon joined by Greg and Amber.

The next day, India received a text, which read: “Greg, Harley and India. Welcome to your first morning in the villa. You must now pick one person each to date this morning. Please pick the person you want to date and head out into the garden. #theearlybirdcatchestheworm”

Greg chose Maura, Harley chose Michael and India chose Ovie.

Elsewhere in tonight's episode, Michael admits his feelings for Amber.

Ovie offers Michael some advice. Ovie says “Don’t let your pride hurt you. Don’t fight yourself.”

Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.

The series is set to conclude on Monday, July 29.
