Tommy gives Molly-Mae the message

Tommy Fury asked Molly-Mae Hague to be his official girlfriend on Love Island 2019 tonight.

Things have undoubtedly been going well between Tommy and Molly-Mae, and Tommy was now ready to take their relationship to the next level.

In this evening's episode, Tommy spoke with Curtis on the day beds and said: "I feel like now is the perfect time to call Molly my girlfriend. I feel it!”

Tommy and Curtis went to the terrace and Tommy picked up Ellie-Belly on route. Tommy and Curtis then sprinkled rose petals over the terrace.

Curtis wrote a message in eye liner for Tommy to give to Molly-Mae and then attached the message to Ellie-Belly before placing him on the terrace seat.

Tommy reflects in the Beach Hut on his upcoming plan of action. He says “Asking Molly-Mae to be my girlfriend was single-handedly the most nervous I’ve ever been in my entire life.”

Tommy then asked Molly-Mae for a chat. He said: “Ellie-Belly wants to tell you something. He told me to come and get his Mum.”

Molly-Mae was confused as to what is going on. Tommy and Molly-Mae went upstairs to the terrace and Molly-Mae picked up Ellie-Belly.

Molly-Mae read the note attached to Ellie-Belly, which said “Dear Mummy. Daddy left me here in his best interests. He wanted me to tell you that you’re his everything. I’m going to leave it with Daddy. So…”

Tommy then said to Molly-Mae “On a serious note, you know how much you mean to me and you’re the only girl for me. I only want to be with you. Therefore, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?”

She said yes, but Lucie was left in tears by Tommy's move.

Lucie recently confessed feelings for the boxer, breaking off her own coupling with George Rains.

But bookies report that Tommy and Molly-Mae are currently the most popular picks with Ladbrokes punters to be this year's Love Island's winning couple.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Tommy and Molly-Mae have faced a few tricky tests but the couple long stronger than ever and punters clearly think they'll go all the way this year."

Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
