Love Island 2019 returns tonight on ITV2 as the Islanders settle in to their new surroundings.
On Friday night, the couples were split up across two villas: The girls in Casa Amor and the boys in the original main villa.
The guys were then joined by six new girls while the ladies found themselves living together with six new lads.
In tonight's show, as the boys adjust to the new arrivals at the main villa, is Michael Griffiths drifting away from Amber and in the direction of new girl Joanna Chimonides?
She wastes no time in taking Michael to one side to get to know him, before establishing where things stand between him and his current partner Amber Gill.
She asks: “I just wanted to pull you aside because you are my type and obviously I wanted to get to know where you’re at. You’re coupled up with Amber. How are things going?”
Michael opens up about the frustrations in his relationship with Amber: “Things are going well. I wouldn’t really say we’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve had a little blip. It’s certain things that have gone on that I think is quite childish.
"Are they things that I would probably put up with outside? Probably not as much as I am in here. She’s quite straight with everything but at the same time she’s not straight with me sometimes and that can be quite frustrating.”
Pushed by Joanna on whether he would pursue things with any of the new girls, Michael admits: “If somebody comes in that’s genuinely better suited to me than Amber is, then it’s one of those things.”
Meanwhile, at Casa Amor, in spite of reassurances from the other girls, Amber is concerned as to how Michael will have reacted to the fresh faces in the villa:
“Michael’s probably cracking on with some new girl right now. Fantastic. I don’t know why you’re so confident in him," she tells the ladies.
Back in the main villa, Michael remains open minded about where his head stands.
He says: “Joanna’s obviously a very attractive girl. It wouldn’t hurt to get to know who Joanna is, but at the same time it doesn’t mean that my head’s turned. It just means that I’m getting to know Joanna to see if by all means she’s more me than Amber is.
“Is it worth the potential headache of sharing a bed with Joanna if there’s nothing actually there, or if I don’t share a bed with Joanna and there is something there than am I just shooting myself in the foot?”
The next morning, Danny chats to Michael about the situation with Joanna.
Michael says: “I take a lot more on the chin and just squash things for the sake of not having an issue. It does go back to the age thing. It’s making me realise things I’ve been brushing off.”
He adds in the beach hut: “The new girls coming in has obviously come at a great time. It’s helped me realise situations that I’ve overlooked with Amber, and it’s made me realise that I did go into a shell over the past week and I wasn’t really acting myself.
"Just acting a bit out of character. This has come at a good time to help me clear things up in my head.”
Is Michael really ready to look elsewhere and are Amber’s worst fears about to be confirmed?
Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
