The first coupling of Love Island 2019 has been revealed - here's who is currently together.

The holiday of a lifetime started for a brand-new influx of Islanders as Love Island returned to screens tonight (Monday, June 3).

This year’s line up of singletons are about to embark upon a scintillating summer of dates, drama, romance and relationships, with host Caroline Flack once again welcoming them to their plush paradise surroundings, a luxury Mallorcan villa. Iain Stirling also returns with his inimitable take on all the island action as show narrator.

In tonight's opening episode, five girls first entered the villa.

One by one five guys then went before them as Caroline asked the girls to step forward for anyone they fancied.

It was up to the guys to decide who to couple up with, free to pick any of the girls even if they didn't step forward or were already in a couple.

After the couples were confirmed, here's how it looks...

Love Island 2019 couplings

Amber Gill and Callum Macleod

Amy Hart and Anton Danyluk

Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre

Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt

Yewande Biala and Michael Griffiths.

However just as the Islanders begin to feel settled in their new home, Amber receives a text.

Amber read the text to the Islanders which said: “Islanders, it’s time for the real games to begin. Please welcome your new arrivals. #DoubleTrouble #BoxFresh #HotToFoxtrot”

As the Islanders gather their thoughts, Curtis Pritchard and Tommy Fury entered the villa.

Curtis then received a text: "In 24 hours Curtis and Tommy will each couple up with a girl of their choice leaving two boys single and vulneranble #TheGlovesAreOff #ItTakesTwoToTango."

With the arrival of two hot new bombshells the game of love can finally begin but what does this mean for all the Islanders who are already coupled up?

Ultimately the public will decide their favourite couple, who will walk away from the villa with a life-changing cash prize, as they are crowned Love Island winners 2019.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
