Last Friday saw the latest recoupling, with the women enjoying the power. The boys stood in front of the fire pit, awaiting their fate. One by one, the girls chose who they wanted to couple up with.

Kaz & Josh, Megan & Wes, Ellie & Charlie, Laura & Jack, Dani & Jack, Georgia & Sam, and Alexandra & Alex were the couples who then faced a public vote.

Last night (Sunday) saw the results revealed as Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake were given the boot.

Caroline Flack surprised the group, appearing to announce the bottom three couples, as voted for by the public were Ellie & Charlie, Megan & Wes and Georgia & Sam.

She then said: “I can now reveal the couple with the fewest votes and therefore dumped from the Island is… Charlie & Ellie.”

Reacting to their eviction, Ellie said: “It is bitter sweet. I have left with a boyfriend who I really like and we had an amazing time and made amazing memories in the villa. But it was very hard leaving the people that I’ve made such close friends with.”

Charlie added: “You never want to leave the villa but at the same time, I went in to find love and a girlfriend and I have. I was disappointed but also, I did feel ready to leave.”

Fresh from the Love Island results which saw one couple dumped, four newbies have been announced for the villa.

The two new boys and girls will enter the villa in tonight’s episode. They are Stephanie Lam, a 23-year-old Account Manager from Hertfordshire, Laura Crane, a 23-year-old Surfer from Devon, Paul Knops, a 31-year-old Carpenter and Model from Bournemouth, and Josh Mair a 21-year-old DJ from Birmingham.

As well as the newbies, Caroline drops another bombshell.

The safe couples must pick between the remaining two couples in the bottom three – Georgia & Sam and Megan & Wes – for a new twist.
