Love Island 2016 winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey have vowed to stay together forever.

The couple won last night's Love Island final on ITV2 having got together on the very first day and lasting the entire six week series.

In a video posted to the ITV website after their victory, Cara revealed: "This is the first time I've heard Nathan speechless."

Nathan eventually managed to add: "Thank you for changing our lives."

Cara then revealed: "We will not let you down. We're going to get married, we're going to have babies..."

Nathan agreed: "I can't wait to go on more journeys with you [Cara] in the future."

During last night's Love Island, Cara and Nathan ended up sharing the prize money equally to each walk away with £25,000

"I can't wait to get home and now I can buy my mum a house and give her the deposit for it," Cara revealed of her plans for the cash.

Meanwhile, Nathan said he was going to take his dad on a "golfing trip".

The pair proved a hit with viewers, scoring more than 50% of all the votes for the final four.

Now Love Island fans have called on ITV2 to give the couple their own show.

"Cara and Nathan need their own TV show. I would be all over that, they are epic together," one viewer wrote.

Another added on Twitter: "Can Nathan and Cara get their own show as the winners pls #LoveIsland"

While Love Island is over, there will be a special catch up show next Sunday at 9PM on ITV2, following the couples on their first days outside the villa.
