Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestants: Meet this year's celebrities

Who's on the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line up? Meet the confirmed cast on this year's show!

A total of 15 celebrities have been announced for the Strictly Come Dancing cast this autumn.

The first celeb to be confirmed was England international goalkeeper David James, who was quickly joined on the line up with comedian Chris Ramsey and EastEnders' actress Emma Barton.

More confirmed Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestants are YouTube vlogger Saffron Barker, Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley, BBC Sports presenter Mike Bushell and CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual.

Joining them on the Strictly lie up are Viscountess Emma Weymouth, RuPaul Drag Race's Michelle Visage, Paralympic champion Will Bayley, and footballer and presenter Alex Scott.

Completing the line up are Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin, TV legend Anneka Rice and gold medal winning Olympian James Cracknell.

Strictly Come Dancing waltzes back onto BBC One for its 17th series in September.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will roll out the red carpet to welcome the star-studded celebrity class of 2019 as they begin their Strictly adventure in Strictly Come Dancing: The Launch.

The the celebrity contestants will make their grand entrance into the famous Strictly ballroom and discover which professional dancer they will be paired with.

Once the pairings have been announced the celebrities and professionals will take to the dancefloor for the very first time for a spectacular group performance.

‘Queen of Latin’ Shirley Ballas returns as Head Judge and joins legendary judges Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood plus brand new judge Motsi Mabuse as the fabulous four cast their eyes on the class of 2019 for the very first time.

The show opens with a spectacular red carpet event as the new Strictly family perform for the very first time.

They'll then head into rehearsals with their pro partners before the live shows begin later in September.
