I’m A Celebrity 2019 campmates emerge from Celebrity Cyclone with four-star win

The I’m A Celebrity 2019 top four triumphed in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone – with Roman Kemp managing to avoid getting swept away.

Mood was initially sad in camp yesterday after Caitlyn Jenner and Nadine Coyle fell victim to a shock double elimination.

However, the remaining four celebs cheered up when they realised they’d reached a coveted milestone in the ITV show’s journey.

A delivery of superhero costumes meant only one thing: it was time for Celebrity Cyclone, the fan-favourite Bushtucker Trial.

“I’m really excited about this, I never thought I’d get this far,” commented Jacqueline Jossa. “This is an iconic moment and I’m just can’t believe I’m here wearing this luminous orange suit.”

“All of us wanted to do the Cyclone, that was our dream so we’ll have fun doing it,” noted Kate Garraway.

“I look like an absolute clown but I don’t care,” grinned Andy Whyment.

The challenge remained the same as previous years, with the quartet getting a day off from critters and creepy crawlies.

One celeb had to take four stars to the first marker on a giant water slide. The next would take three stars from them and proceed to the second marker, and so on.

They then had to stay put, enduring the torrents of water, high-powered winds and flying debris trying to knock them off course.

Each person who was in position with a star at the end of the ten-minute time limit would win a meal.

After settling the order of play, Kate waded through the ball pit at the bottom and moved to the first marker.

Jacqueline struggled to move, leaving her crawling towards the second spot, while Roman was hit by coloured balls as he reached the third.

This left Andy power walking to the last position, putting him closest to the source of the artificial storm.

Just when they thought it couldn’t get tougher, a massive wave was sent crashing down the slide.

Roman remarkably withstood the onslaught, holding his place – but the other three were swept straight back to the start.

Fortunately, they managed to get back to their markers in time, and won all four meals.

“I got pelted left, right and centre but it was the funniest thing I’ve ever done in my life. It was so, so good,” Jacqueline beamed.

“Four stars for the awesome foursome!” exclaimed Kate.

Meanwhile, a surprise waiting for the group on their return to Snake Rock.

Four ice creams were sitting in a box secured with padlocks, which gradually filled with water.

Following a frantic search around camp for the keys, the campmates managed to obtain the sweet treats before they became soggy.

“It’s like we were demented, we had to find those keys,” said Kate.
