Four celebs faced the Sinister Circus on I’m A Celebrity 2019 tonight.

Yesterday evening saw hosts Ant and Dec reveal a brand new twist on this year’s show.

They teased: “A curse is about to descend on the camp. Over the next few days there will be a series of challenges known as The Reckonings.

“Celebs taking part in The Reckonings can win food for camp and escape the curse.”

The first task was called Sinister Circus and saw celebs submerged in water where they must unlock a series of padlocks to escape.

Cliff Parisi was ineligible due to medical grounds but the remaining celebs faced the viewer vote.

With the most votes (in no particular order), taking part will be Roman Kemp, Ian Wright, Jacqueline Jossa and Nadine Coyle.

At the trial, Dec told them they’d been voted to do the reckoning by the public and it will allow 2 celebrities to lift the curse and eat dinner.

“So it’s every campmate for themselves on this one,” he added.

Dec explained that Trial was called Sinister Circus and they’d have to get out of water tanks as quickly as possible and would start the Trial shackled within the tank.

Ant added that to free themselves from the shackle they’d have to use ten keys tied to a ladder also in the tank and only one of those keys would undo the lock. They’d then have to unlock 4 combination padlocks on the tank roof.

Joining the celebs in the tasks were eels, mud crabs, water snakes, yabbies and a water dragon.

As the first two celebs to free themselves, Nadine and Roman won the task and freed themselves from the ‘curse’.

At the end of the task the pair left with 6 stars out of 12.
