The ‘One Love’ boyband has a decent track record on the ITV jungle survival contest.

Antony Costa competed on the fifth series in 2005, and Simon Webbe on the eighth series in 2008, with both finishing in fifth place.

Now Duncan will be aiming to do even better, having supposedly signed up to follow in their footsteps.

According to The Sun, the 41-year-old has agreed a big-money deal to head Down Under later this year.

ITV bosses were apparently eager to land Duncan – as the show will force him to confront his phobia of snakes.

“Duncan has been approached in the past for I’m A Celebrity but the timing wasn’t right — until now,” a source said.

“With his good looks and personality, he is the perfect fit for the jungle.

“Producers also think he could be telly gold because he will have to face his phobias head-on.

“The best campmates are the ones who have to overcome their fears. Duncan has told them he is game for anything.”

Blue scored a string of hits in the early noughties, and released a further two top 20 albums after reuniting to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011.

Away from the band, Duncan has been a contestant on Dancing On Ice and a judge on Don’t Stop Believing.

He released a solo album in 2006 and has acted on both stage and television, portraying Ryan Knight in Hollyoaks.

Should Duncan turn up on I’m A Celebrity, Lee Ryan would be the only remaining Blue star who hasn’t entered the Australian camp.

He has, however, been a Celebrity Big Brother housemate, and will appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating.

I’m A Celeb returns to ITV in November, with Ant McPartlin back hosting alongside Dec Donnelly.
