Emily Atack, Fleur East, Harry Redknapp and John Barrowman conquered the Celebrity Cyclone on I'm A Celebrity 2018 in the return of the fan-favourite Bushtucker Trial.

Most of the celebs were thrilled yesterday when they changed in to superhero costumes for the legendary annual challenge.

"Anybody who watches this show, this is the moment you wait for," John grinned. "This is awesome, spectacular, fabuloso!"

"Cyclone is one of the pinnacles of Jungle life, Cyclone is the most fun ever," added Fleur.

However, Harry - who admits he'd never seen I'm A Celebrity prior to taking part - hadn't a clue what all the fuss was about.

"I’ve just turned up, I’ve got no idea what’s happening or what we’re gonna do," he said.

"They keep telling me it will be good fun, we’ll find out when we get there. I’ve got all the gear on!"

This year's Cyclone came with a slight format change due to John's unfortunate accident earlier this week, which left him with a sprained ankle.

While Emily, Fleur and Harry began on a spinning twister, making them nice and dizzy, John stood at the launch area throughout the challenge.

Once time had begun, John had to unscrew a small star and launch it on to the famous slippery slide.

The first player could then get off the twister, grab the star and take it to the first marker.

John then had to throw a medium star to be taken to the second marker, and a large star to be taken to the third marker - the closest to the source of the cyclone.

As always, the celebs had to battle high-powered wins, floods of water and obstacles including coloured balls.

Their objective was to have all three stars on their marker at the end of their ten-minute limit.

"You can stop the trial at any time by saying ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’, but I’ll be honest with you, we won’t hear you," joked presenter Dec Donnelly.

A fireball signalled the start of the Trial, and Harry was soon dashing to the first marker.

However, he fell over and slid back to the start of the course - only reaching the target after John advised him to crawl on his belly.

Emily then set off for marker two, only for a ball to hit her in the face.

A second ball the send her flying backwards before she eventually reached her goal.

Fleur then faced the task of reaching marker three, falling repeatedly while doing so.

Just when the trio were, the floodgates opened and a torrent of water washed them all out.

Thankfully, they managed to get back in position just before their time expired, meaning they'd won the Trial and four meals for their evening dinner.

"That was so much fun, I couldn’t stop laughing!" grinned John.

"It was so much harder than I thought it was, it was like a war zone out there," gasped Emily.

It was Harry that had the most amusing reaction.

"I was supposed to be sitting at home in my slippers coming up to 72 years old, not going up a water slide getting smashed in the face by ball!" he exclaimed to chuckles from the group.

The final four weren't the only people that braved the Cyclone this year.

Dec's temporary co-star Holly Willoughby also took on the challenge, alongside the hosts of ITV2 spin-off Extra Camp.

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! concludes tomorrow night at 9.00pm on ITV with the grand final.
