Nick Knowles selflessly sat out of a luxury feast on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 - as the other campmates enjoyed a delicious roast dinner.
Yesterday James McVey, John Barrowman and Rita Simons embarked on an epic quest across the jungle in one of the biggest challenges of the series yet.
Each star they grabbed along the way would earn one celeb a place at a special banquet later that night.
However, a devastating result saw John miss the last star - meaning just one unlucky campmate would miss out on the treat.
As the trio headed back to camp, John insisted his failure meant he should be the odd one out.
Rita disagreed, commenting: "John is giving it martyr and saying he shouldn’t eat, but I think it should be discussed."
Once they'd told the group about their exciting adventure - not to mention the deflating result - current camp leader Nick offered to sacrifice himself.
"In anticipation of this, I’ve been thinking about it all day," he revealed.
"I’ve been in the unenviable position of not being able to help around the camp. The decision is really easy."
John tried to protest, but Nick wasn't having it.
"You have had a very physical day which means if you don’t get a good meal tonight then in two days time you’ll crash with it," the DIY SOS host insisted.
"I’m pulling rank on it, you had a big day and I didn’t."
Conceding defeat, John responded: "I’m not arguing because we are both obstinate.
"I don’t want people to argue, so thank you very much."
Soon Nick was left on his own as the other ten celebs set off for a jungle clearing, where bosses laid on a slap-up roast dinner.
They enjoyed chicken and beef with all the trimmings, including Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, vegetables and salad.
James, meanwhile, was served a plate of vegetarian 'ribs'.
For dessert, they were treated to the jam roly-poly and custard they'd missed out on in an earlier Dingo Dollar Challenge.
"This is like a dream come true. It’s like we’re not really here," remarked James.
I'm A Celebrity 2018 airs nightly at 9.00pm on ITV, followed by Extra Camp on ITV2.
