The opening episode of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 was the show's most-watched launch and second highest-rating broadcast EVER, it's been revealed.
The ITV jungle survival contest returned earlier this month with an overnight audience of 11.1million viewers.
That number has now skyrocketed after consolidated ratings were released today, which include 7 days of catch-up viewing.
The 'official' data reveals that a whopping 13.7million people watched this year's opener on linear television.
When online streaming via ITV Hub is included, that number climbs further to 14.2million.
The colossal figure - an increase of 3MILLION on the overnight - means I'm A Celebrity's eighteenth series has broken the record for the show's most-watched launch of all time.
The accolade was previously held by the thirteenth run, which kicked off with 13.5million viewers in November 2013.
Not only that, but this year's launch also now ranks as I'm A Celebrity's second most-watched episode ever overall.
It is only beaten by the finale of the third series, which attracted almost 15million viewers in February 2004.
These achievements are especially astonishing for a show that has been on air almost two decades.
Every instalment of the new series has been up at least a million viewers year-on-year.
The increased hype has been credited to the big-name contestants, with bosses said to have broke the bank to secure one of the show's most impressive line-ups ever.
Famous faces in the Australian outback include Noel Edmonds, Nick Knowles, Harry Redknapp and John Barrowman.
Meanwhile, fans have also been praising Holly Willoughby after she stepped in as Dec Donnelly's temporary co-host amid Ant McPartlin's extended break from TV.
I'm A Celebrity continues nightly at 9.00pm on ITV.
