After almost two weeks inside the jungle, tonight saw the first eviction of the series as one celebrity was voted out.

And it was Shappi Khorsandi we said goodbye to after she received the fewest votes to stay from viewers at home and was voted off.

The comedian shouted out in joy after the news was broken by hosts Ant and Dec in camp.

“I get to see my babies!” she exclaimed, “Don’t be sad, this is what I wanted!”

Shappi told Ant and Dec in her exit interview: “I’m so relieved. I missed my children like crazy… I think I got off lightly.”

Not all of the celebs currently in camp were up for the first vote off tonight after a series of immunity challenges.

Boxer Amir Khan, England footballer Dennis Wise and Radio host Iain Lee were all immune from the vote and could not be voted off.

The rest of the celebs faced the public vote, via the show’s official app, mobile and phone lines.

Shappi’s exit leaves a total of 10 celebs currently in camp.

Alongside Amir, Dennis and Iain, they are Made In Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas; and The Saturdays singer Vanessa White.

Also still in the jungle are Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine; Football Wag Rebekah Vardy; and Ex MP and father of Boris Johnson, Stanley Johnson.

Completing the current line up is former Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale.
