Tonight lines opened for viewers to choose a candidate for what looks set to be one of the most terrifying water trials in the ITV jungle show’s history.

Only eight of the celebs were eligible, with Stanley Johnson and Rebekah Vardy ruled out on medical grounds.

“Oh, that’s good news,” Stanley joked. “They must think I’m senile!”

After over 2million votes were cast on the official app, hosts Ant and Dec entered camp to announce that Amir will be taking part.

Jack Maynard was told it “might be” him, but ended up escaping the challenge.

‘Flushed Out’ features a cramped, narrow tank, which appears to be at least twice Amir’s 5ft, 8.5in height.

The champion boxer will have to climb down in to the tank and work his way past crocodiles, eels and more creatures to win food for his campmates.

“One celebrity trapped in a terrifying tank,” Ant and Dec said in a teaser. “The water’s rising and time’s running out.

“Don’t get locked in, in Flushed Out.”

It will be Amir’s second Trial in a row, and the celebs are no doubt hoping he’ll do better this time after quitting ‘Critter-cal Rescue’ yesterday.

His aim had been to rescue Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo from a chamber by searching underground tunnels for keys.

However, he got cold feet when he pulled a snake out of a hell hole, and muttered the immortal words: ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.

Tune in to ITV tomorrow at 9.00pm to find out if Amir does any better under water.
