Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, Jennie McAlpine, Vanessa White and Rebekah Vardy were handed Meal Tickets as they arrived in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, with the rest of the campmates left to survive on basic rations.

The ITV jungle show has returned with a twist, which saw the ten celebs split in to pairs of ‘buddies’ decided by public vote.

Three of the duos faced a terrifying 334 foot-high plank walk for their first challenge, while the others embarked on a two-part task, involving the traditional skydive and a ‘Wretched Wreck’.

With the nerve-wracking ordeals complete, the celebs were relieved when they finally arrived in the Croc Creek base camp.

Amir Khan, who claims he’s never seen I’m A Celebrity before, observed: “There’s a lot of trees and leaves.

“I don’t like the areas where there’s a lot of leaves, because I don’t know what might be underneath. It’s kind of messy when I walk through it.”

The boxing champ worked with Jamie Lomas to light the fire, before the group was faced with their first Meal Ticket dilemma.

Until further notice, the celebs will only have rice and beans to eat, unless they possess one of the golden tickets.

They won four tickets in the earlier challenges, and it was soon time to decide who would receive them.

Vanessa White was sad to learn that they couldn’t share the rewards. “I was really hoping we could all be together on the first night of camp,” she sighed.

Amir suggested that Stanley Johnson should get to eat as he is the eldest campmate, aged 77.

The politician protested, pointing out that he and his buddy Shappi had been the only pair to fail their challenge.

Eventually, the group decided Becky, Jennie, Toff and Vanessa – the female halves of the winning duos – should take the tickets.

“My view is, as long as women are happy, men are happy,” commented Stanley.

The ladies headed to the separate Snake Rock camp, where they enjoyed a kangaroo dinner.

“This is the best welcome into the jungle in Australia ever,” Toff claimed.

Meanwhile, Shappi and the lads back at Croc Creek tucked in to their meagre portions of rice and beans.

“To be honest, I’m not being ungrateful, but my guinea pigs get more than this a day,” Shappi grumbled.

However, Amir was happy with the grub. “I know it’s a very simple food but I liked it,” he said. “If I eat this any day, I’d be alright.”

I’m A Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9.00pm on ITV.
