I'm A Celebrity insiders say Ant and Dec will definitely return as a duo to host this year's show.
A show source has denied rumours that plans were being made for a replacement if Ant McPartlin needed more time to recover following a recent stay in rehab.
Caroline Flack had been made the favourite to host I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of here if Ant was unable to.
Others tipped to lend a helping hand should the situation arise include reigning winner Scarlett Moffatt and This Morning's Holly Willoughby.
A spokesperson for bookmakers Paddy Power said: “Caroline might have copped a lot of Flack for her time fronting X Factor, but her experience on Love Island should serve her well for going Down Under.”
The news followed reports that filming on the new series has reportedly been delayed.
The latest run of the ITV show is still expected to begin in November time, but pre-filming work with Ant and Dec is said to have been postponed this week.
The Geordie duo were apparently meant to record a promo for the show but it's been pushed back to allow Ant more time to recover.
News broke earlier this year that TV favourite Ant McPartlin had checked himself into a rehab facility for 'drink and drugs problems'.
"It would have been the first day filming but with Ant away, there is no way they could get started,” a source told The Sun newspaper.
Ant was recently seen arriving in LA along with his agent.
"Ant needed some space away," a TV insider told the tabloid. "Everyone completely understands.”
Back in July it was suggested 'back up plans' were being made if Ant was unable to make filming.
But sources insisted that co-host Dec wouldn't front the show alongside any one else. A source told the Daily Mirror: “Ant and Dec are a team with a huge emotional bond, they are like brothers and and Dec will only be hosting I’m A Celebrity with Ant by his side.
“They’ve got months yet to sort things out and the hope is that Ant will bounce back with another hit series of I’m A Celebrity and they will move on from this chapter in their career.”
Meanwhile, it's been confirmed today that Scarlett Moffatt, Joel Dommett and Joe Swash will be hosting the ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp.
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here typically begins mid-November on ITV.
