TV Watchdog Ofcom has received over 25,000 complaints regarding the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother.
It follows a controversial 'altercation' between Roxanne Pallett and Ryan Thomas last week. Ryan was given a formal warning by Big Brother after Roxanne complained that he had been 'violent' towards her.
She claimed in the Diary Room: "I'm just a little bit in shock. I went from being upset to angry now. He actually punched me like a boxer would punch a bag. It wasn't banter, it wasn't a joke."
However the vast majority of viewers felt Roxanne overreacted with many even calling for her to be removed from the house.
In Saturday's show, the other housemates got involved in Ryan and Roxy's feud as Ryan was left in tears by the claims Roxy had made against him.
A spokesperson for Ofcom has said it has received a total of 25,257 complaints about the episodes so far.
They added: "We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether or not to investigate."
Friday's live eviction saw Ben Jardine exit and Roxanne booed by the crowd. Roxanne retreated to the Diary Room and asked to leave the house.
It was announced on Saturday morning that Roxanne had quit Celebrity Big Brother after two weeks inside the house.
A spokesperson for Roxanne said: "Roxanne decided to leave the CBB house late last night after deliberating for two days with some sensitive issues she felt strongly about. She has now been reunited with her fiancé and family and thanks everyone for their support during her time in the show."
"When I watched that footage back when I left the house, which is the first thing I did... I got it wrong, I got it really wrong," she announced.
Roxanne concluded: "I absolutely overreacted, I was out of order and I got it wrong. I massively regret it.
"I've had to take a massive step back but I don't blame everyone. If I was watching this I would've been confused by my reaction. I apologise massively to everyone I offended."
