Celebrity Big Brother's Roxanne Pallett has revealed the truth about her car crash.
The soap star was left injured earlier this year after the accident while filming for her radio series.
“I've decided to take part in Celebrity Big Brother - because if not now, when? It's the year for me of 'Yes.'" Roxanne said before entering the house. “What followed the accident and the media frenzy was quite a lot of backlash online – I was trolled for not being injured enough…They absolutely contributed to a really difficult time.”
In tonight's highlights Roxanne discusses what happened with the other housemates.
She recalls: "I was filming for my radio show and we were racing stock cars and I crashed and I was out cold and had to get cut out and was airlifted to hospital.
"It went in every newspaper and magazine and I woke up to all the news and frenzy, and then the death hoax online. People writing 'Rest In Peace'.
"I had two friends who were inconsolable ringing my mum thinking it was true because they couldn't get a hold of me."
Roxanne continues: "But the worst bit was about 10 and 20 tweets from men telling me my injuries bad enough to warrant a helicopter
"It wasn't even trolling. It was beyond that, because it was them saying 'You know you should have had more injuries'.
"I did an interview because I needed to set the facts straight because people were saying different things about it, and somebody said 'Huh, you're alright, look at you posing for a photograph in a vest top'
"What should I wear, a suit?"
Asked by Natalie Nunn if that was "what the British public are like", Roxanne responds: "The British public are great but there's that minority that go online and are so ignorant and uneducated that they actually talk about you and they don't know anything."
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 continues nightly on Channel 5.
Tonight's show airs at 10PM.
