RATINGS! Britain's Got Talent final results seen by more than 10 million viewers

A peak audience of more than 10 million viewers watched last night's Britain's Got Talent 2019 final.

It was singer Colin Thackery who won Britain's Got Talent 2019 last night, becoming the oldest act ever to win at the age of 89.

He beat magician X to claim victory, securing a £250,000 cash prize plus a spot on the Royal Variety Show.

An average audience of 8.5 million tuned in with a peak audience of 10.6 million.

Alongside the top two, other acts in the final were dancers Libby & Charlie, stuntman Jonathan Goodwin, magician Ben Hart, singer Mark McMullan,, comedian Kojo Anim, Magic dog act Dave & Finn, singing and dancing group Flakefleet Primary School, magicians 4MG and comedy singer Siobhan Phillips.

BGT's marathon live finale also featured guest appearances from former Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity as well as Susan Boyle alongside the finalists' performances.

The viewing figure was slightly down (200,000 viewers) on last year but up on both 2017 and 2016's numbers.

The final rating was also up over a million viewers on the previous Saturday's final audition episode, recording a series high.

Britain's Got Talent's 2019 final was easily the most watched show of the weekend and becomes one of the highest rated programmes of 2019 so far.

Currently, in consolidated official viewing figures, BGT is the second most watched show of the year to date with more than 10 million viewers. Line Of Duty is currently at Number 1.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed in the Britain's Got Talent finale that the show will return later in 2019 with an All Stars Champions special.

Elsewhere in last night's TV ratings, over on ITV2, More Talent with Stephen Mulhern averaged over half a million viewers.

And on BBC One, Countryfile topped the channel's night with 4.8 million viewers.

Antiques Roadshow continued with 4.5 million viewers before Gentleman Jack interested 4 million in the 9PM hour.
