The knife throwing act, made up of Andrei Gomonov and Daria Sheremet from Belarus, will perform live on ITV tonight.

Their audition saw Simon Cowell get on stage as part of the act and for the semi-final they’re promising even more dangerous tricks.

Andrei said: “I am delighted that we are through to the Semi-Finals. I am very happy about it and can’t wait to bring something new to the judges and the British public.

“Expect more dangerous tricks, new props, and fire!”

However The Sun newspaper reports that the act is proving to be a healthy and safety nightmare.

Paramedics have been organised to stand by in case things go wrong, with Andrei set to up the ante by throwing red-hot knifes at his assistant.

Andrei is sure things will go to plan, saying Daria knows “not to be scared and not to move.”

He explained: “The way of preparation was very difficult. But during the preparation, we complied with everything necessary for safety and therefore everything was fine.

“Small bruises, abrasions and scratches do not count!”

Alongside the knife throwers, tonight’s semi-final acts include comedy magician John Archer; dance and singing group KNE, 88-year-old singer Colin Thackery; magic dance troupe Angels Inc. and singer Rob King.

Joining them are Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer, stand up comedian Kojo Anim and Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer choice Chapter 13 , a band made up of 14-year-old Jacob, 15-year-old Noah, 15-year-old Tom and 15-year-old Jake.

The live show will also see a performance from X Factor winner James Arthur.
