K-pop superstars BTS performed on the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent 2019 tonight.

The ITV talent contest goes live this week with the top forty acts competing to win public votes.

Of course, there will also be several guest appearances - and tonight's involved pop music's latest big phenomenon.

In a UK television first, BTS performed their new single Boy With Luv on this evening's show (Thursday, May 30).

They appeared in the live results show on ITV and you can watch BTS's Britain's Got Talent performance in the video below...

BTS have gradually taken the western world by storm over the past few years, racking up several huge achievements.

Their latest EP, 'Map of the Soul: Persona', became the first ever Korean-language record to top the UK Albums Chart when it was released in April.

The seven-piece group have scored three other Top 20 albums and two Top 40 singles, and worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Halsey and Steve Aoki.

BTS are in the UK this week to perform two shows at Wembley Stadium as part of their 'Love Yourself' world tour. Their first date at the 90,000-capacity venue sold out in as little as 90 minutes.

It's not the first time that Britain's Got Talent has brought K-pop to UK television.

PSY visited the final of the seventh series in 2013 to sing 'Gentleman', his follow-up to viral sensation 'Gangnam Style'.

Other guest acts confirmed for Britain's Got Talent live shows this year include X Factor winner James Arthur, former BGT winners Diversity and BGT star Susan Boyle.

There will also be performances from the cast of musicals On Your Feet, Six and Joseph's Jason Donovan and Sheridan Smith.

The actors will perform a medley from their new West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Britain's Got Talent airs nightly all this week at 7:30PM on ITV until Friday.

The live final takes place on Sunday, June 2.
