Saturday saw the penultimate round of try outs for this year’s series.

Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell returned to the panel while Ant and Dec were back watching on from the sidelines.

As always, acts needed three or more yeses to get through to the next round, and potentially make the live shows.

One of the acts we met this week were the Truro Cathedral Choir.

Asked why they signed up for the show, the group explained: “The show has done so much for variety and bringing it back into the mainstream, we hope something really traditional can be part of that.”

The group went on to sing Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

The brilliant performance won four yeses from the judges and saw the group through to the next round.

Other contestants on this weekend’s show include cheeky dance duo, Libby and Charlie, who can’t wait to show the judges their moves, but will they be dancing through to the next round?

The acts who make it into the next round will join those successful auditionees from last week including 88-year-old singer Colin Thackery and mysterious magicians Brotherhood.

Also put through last week were dance duo Dust in the Wind, all female dance group Khronos Girls and magician Ben Hart who teleported a member of the audience as part of his audition.

Finally, Chapter 13, a band made up of teenagers, put their spin on Stevie Wonder’s hits and got the final golden buzzer of the series from Amanda Holden.

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 airs at 8PM on Saturday night on ITV with the latest auditions.
