Try outs for Britain’s Got Talent were back on Saturday night on ITV.

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon once again took up their seats on the judges’ panel, while Ant and Dec watched on from backstage.

This year has already seen some dangerous acts from knife throwing to a man setting himself on fire.

This weekend saw group Brotherhood take things to a new level with their game of mystery.

They appeared on stage and announced: “We are Brotherhood. Welcome to our game of mystery with this sword.”

After proving the sharpness of the sword by slicing up watermelons, they explained: “The game is simple. under one of four boxes will be this sword.

“We will fall on three of them, not knowing where the sword is hidden.”

Dec was called out on stage and told: “Take this sword and place it up right under the one of the boxes. We cannot see which box you choose. Our lives are in your hands.

“As it’s series 13, choose wisely,” they added ominously.

Once Dec had made his decision in secret, he was blindfolded.

Simon was then asked to randomly pick three podiums for the group to jump off from onto the boxes below.

The trio took up their positions before falling one by one, leaving the one box which had the sword inside.

Also appearing on this weekend’s show are the Khronos Girls who send out an important message about women’s rights with a performance inspired by the Suffragettes.

As always, hopeful contestants need at least three yeses to make it through the next round.

Those that make the cut will join past auditionees which last week included singers Rob King from Manchester who performed Eurovision hit Rise Like A Phoenix and Mark McMullan from Northern Ireland who gave a powerful performance of Bring Him Home.

Duo A&J – a couple made up of Julia from Coventry and Alex from Ukraine – showcased their aerial stunts while all women magic act Angels Inc. stunned with an incredible performance.

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 is back this Saturday evening on ITV with all of the latest auditions.
