Britain's Got Talent will air a special All Stars series this year, it's been confirmed.

Britain's Got Talent: The Champions will follow the success of a similar American show.

America's Got Talent: The Champions aired on TV in the States - and on Netflix here in the UK - earlier in 2019.

The special season featured acts from Got Talent series across the world, competing together to be crowned the ultimate champion.

It was confirmed in this year's Britain's Got Talent live final that a British All Stars version would air later this year on ITV.

Hosts Ant and Dec announced the news, revealing that they'd be presenting while Susan Boyle was one of the names who will take part.

Susan, who rose to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, competed in the recent American All Star series where she made the final.

The singer returned to the BGT stage earlier this year to sing a duet of A Million Dreams with Michael Ball from her new album.

A source told The Sun newspaper previously: “Susan’s a great competitor, has a fascinating back story and is really popular with the British public. She came second in her original appearance and got near on AGT — so this could be third time lucky.”

Susan will be joined by more acts from past Britain's Got Talent series and other Got Talent shows from across the world.

They're rumoured to include 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler, who secured victory as dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey. Following the pooch’s sad death two years ago, she now performs with his replacement, Sully.

As well as Susan and Ashleigh, bosses have reportedly approached George Sampson, who won the second series in 2008.

Current BGT judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, are expected to make up the panel.

Together with Susan, acts who competed on behalf of Britain's Got Talent in the American series included BGT's first ever winner Paul Potts, Shadow Theatre group Attraction, Extreme Rollerskating Duo Billy & Emily England, mini magician Issy Simpson and Illusionist Darcy Oake.

Also taking part were 2018 BGT winner, comedian Lost Voice Guy, dancers Light Balance, pianist Tokio Myers and sword swallower Alex Magala.
