Simon Cowell has revealed he is considering moving Britain's Got Talent to BBC One.
The music mogul has said he was previously approached by the channel "a few years ago" and turned them down.
But it seems something may have changed Simon's mind.
“You always wonder, would this show work better on the BBC?" he told the Daily Mirror ahead of tonight's BGT final.
Simon explained: "I’ve thought about that recently… do you always want to be in the same place?
“There have been no talks. They offered me a deal a few years ago. It’s something I’m thinking about now.”
Britain's Got Talent has aired on ITV since 2007 and will return to the channel next Spring.
The current contract between Simon and ITV runs to 2020 and includes both BGT and The X Factor, so neither show will be going anywhere in the immediate future.
Instead, Simon is launching a new talent show on the BBC next year called The Greatest Dancer.
Tipped to go up against The Voice UK on Saturday nights the show will feature a host of talent from across the world of dance as they give the performances of their lives in the search for the UK’s Greatest Dancer.
The BBC teased: "From ballet to jazz; hip hop to Bollywood; the show is open to anyone. Expect dramatic auditions, incredible challenges and remarkable live performances as dancers from across the nation swing, swirl and sashay onto the stage each week in the hope of being crowned the winner."
Details of judges have hosts have yet to be confirmed, but a pilot episode reportedly involved Cheryl, BGT judge Alesha Dixon, Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo and Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse and Broadway performer and Glee star Matthew Morrison working on the project.
For now, Britain's Got Talent 2018 concludes tonight (Sunday, June 3) at 7:30PM on ITV.
