The latest BGT results saw two more acts make Sunday's final, plus a performance from Rita Ora, with 6.1 million tuning in, up 600,000 on the previous night.
The show's peaked with just under 8 million viewers as ITV triumphed over BBC One throughout primetime.
The Britain's Got Talent 2018 live shows continue at 7:30PM tonight on ITV with Simon Cowell's golden buzzer, father and son singing duo Tim and Jack Goodacre, comedian Noel James, dancers DVJ aka Diversity Juniors, singer Amy Marie Borg, alien dancers Baba Yega, Rola Bola act Sascha Williams, musician Olena UUTAi and comedian inventor Marty Putz.
Elsewhere on ITV, Emmerdale had 5.7 million viewers, up 100,000 on its Tuesday episode.
Over on BBC One, no show passed 3 million viewers in primetime. Docs Panorama, The Big Crash Diet Experiment and The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs averaged 1.7, 1.8 and 2.1 million viewers respectively.
The regional news was the day's most watched programme, averaging 5 million viewers.
