Viewers watching were stunned when Robert was seen seemingly being shoved by show guest, musician Big Narstie.

It happened in the final moments of the show, after Robert had performed in the semi-finals, as everyone danced to Anne-Marie’s hit 2002.

Cameras quickly cut away as Robert and Narstie looked to have clashed.

Sharing a clip on Twitter, one user commented: “@bignarstie just pushed Robert White at the end just before the show cut off and it didn’t look didn’t look very friendly! ”

Another reacted: “Ok perhaps @bignarstie didn’t want to dance with Robert, as is his right, but there was no need to shove him so bloody hard. That was just mean and looks like it hurt him. ”

Following the episode, Robert took to Twitter to comment.

He said: “Big Narstie hi-fived, shook and then made up. No bad feelings from me. To me the visual joke was obvious; the tiny guy dancing with the big guy, but not everyone thinks in comedy, so I think you should give the benefit of the doubt #bgmt

“I know what it’s like to be misunderstood.”

Big Narstie tweeted back: “#bdl my g ?❤️❤️ all love f**king smash da final”

Robert White had made the final in the earlier BGT 2018 results.

In Wednesday’s live semi-final, host Dec first revealed the top three acts from the public vote as Marc Spelmann, Gruffydd Wyn Roberts and Robert.

Dec then announced the winner of the semi-final with the most votes and automatically through to the final as comedian Robert.

That left Marc and Gruffydd facing the judges vote, which was tied handing the result back to the public poll.

Dec revealed that, with the most votes of the two, Gruffydd was going through to the final.

Robert and Gruffydd join singer Donchez Dacres, singer Calum Courtney, comedian Lost Voice Guy and the D-Day Darlings in the final.
