Singer Donchez Dacres and singer Calum Courtney are the next two of ten finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2018 this year.

The BGT 2018 semi-finalists were unveiled by the judges on Saturday and tonight saw the first of five semi-finals.

After thousands applied and hundreds auditioned for the judges all around the UK, the lucky few who received three or more yeses were whittled down to the final 35 acts who join this year’s five golden buzzers.

The final 40 perform in the Britain’s Got Talent live semi- finals all this week in the hope of winning the public vote and securing an all-important place in the live grand final and the chance of winning a life changing £250,000 and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

Each evening two acts will make the final but this year it won’t just be down to the viewers. The act with the highest public vote will automatically go into the final while the judges will decide between the second and third placed acts as to who will join them.

Performing tonight were David Walliams’ golden buzzer, singer Donchez Dacres, choir B-Positive Choir, singer Calum Courtney, impressionist Andrew Lancaster, singer Ronan Busfield, dance group Futunity, comedian Nick Page and illusionist group Magus Utopia.

In the results, host Dec first revealed the top three acts from the public vote as the B-Positive Choir, Calum Courtney and Donchez Dacres.

Dec then announced the winner of the semi-final with the most votes and automatically through to the final as Donchez Dacres.

That left Calum and the B-Positive Choir facing the judges vote.

David Walliams and Simon Cowell voted for Calum while Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon voted for B-Positive Choir.

Therefore, with the judges’ vote tied, the result went back to the public vote.

Dec then revealed that, with the most votes of the two, Calum was going through to the final.

Donchez Dacres and Calum join Lost Voice Guy and the D-Day Darlings in the final.

The finalists will go head to head in the grand finale next SUNDAY night, June 3..
