But just who is in the live shows?

Well five lucky acts have already confirmed their places in the semi-finals after winning a golden buzzer, seeing them straight into next week’s live heats.

But the remaining 35 spots will be picked by the judges from the 182 acts who have all made it through the auditions.

This evening sees the Britain’s Got Talent judges gather all the successful acts from the past seven weeks at the London Palladium.

BGT finalists chosen

While they wait backstage, the judges review all the auditions and choose who they want to make it into the live shows.

Alesha Dixon sighs: “It’s never easy to say no to people.”

David Walliams adds: “This year the standard was really high.”

Amanda Holden remarks: “It’s really tough because they are looking to us with eyes full of hope. It’s not something that we take lightly.”

And Simon Cowell adds: “There are so many people who could win this year.”

There’s no shortage of disagreements on the panel – especially between Simon Cowell and David Walliams – with clashes over who should make the cut.

“This is what we want in the show,” argues David, “People getting up and having a go.”

The semi-finalists reveal will follow the last round of auditions.

There’s a dancing dog (sort of) in the form of Dudley the Dancing Dog while Nick Page offers up some gags with his stand up routine.

We then meet two brothers with two very different acts. Shaquille Rayes sings and plays piano and Shameer Rayes who dances a routine as a doll that comes alive.
