Gruffydd is a 22-Year-old from Amlwch on the Isle-of-Anglesey in North Wales who lives with his Nan.

Explaining his family situation during his audition, Gruffydd said: “I live with my nan because I haven’t known my father until I was 16. This is quite hard.”

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Gruffydd revealed his shock of discovering his father and finding out he also had two siblings.

He told the tabloid: “You see all your friends with dads and think, where’s my dad? My mum chose not to tell me and she raised me very, very well with my grandmother.

“But when I got to 16 I wanted to find out more. Then a friend told me who my dad was. A lot of people knew. And my dad knew he was my dad. But he didn’t say anything either because it was my mum’s decision. I had a few questions for my mother.”

Gruffydd, who won Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer, found out his dad lived in the same village a few roads away.

He continued: “I was very angry at first because it had been a big secret kept from me and for so long.”

“But I respected the fact my mum didn’t want to tell me because it must have been hard for her.”

Gruffydd said he is now hoping to spend more time with his two families.

“It is tough because there are 16 years we missed. But I am looking at it positively. It has made me the man I am today,” he concluded.

On Britain’s Got Talent, Gruffydd started his audition singing ‘Un Giorno Per Noi’ until Simon stopped the song.

Invited to sing an alternative track, Gruffydd then sang ‘Nessun Dorma’ and got a HUGE reaction.

With the audience and judges on their feet, Amanda hit the golden buzzer.

“When you were 10, Paul Potts auditioned on this show with that song. He blew us away and my God you just did the same,” Amanda said.
