As auditions continued tonight, 15-year-old school girl Ella was one of the acts going before the judges.

The teenager currently lives in South London with her Mum, who is in the audience alongside her best friends.

She told the panel: “I think I have to start somewhere and this is an amazing place to start at.

“I want to show people that I really love to sing.”

Ella performed Joss Stone’s version of ‘God Only Knows’ and it went down a hit with the judges.

Amanda Holden praised: “I just found that absolutely mesmorising. It was magical. ”

Simon Cowell added: “I think you’ve been very smart with your song choice.”

With four yeses, Ella made it through to the next round.

More singing acts on tonight’s episode included Miss Tres, a three-piece singing group from the Philippines, made up of Mavey (36), Mariko (43) and Crissy (35). They sing ‘Sex Bomb’ by Tom Jones.

We also met Lifford Shillingford, a 42-year-old singer from South London who previously performed with Artful Dodger on their hit Please Don’t Turn Me On. For his BGT audition, Lifford sang ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke.

Other acts on BGT this weekend included The Cartoon Heroes, who were on the show to provide girl power having set their sights on taking the BGT crown.

Also appearing this weekend was magician Maddox Dixon from Buckingham. He performed magic tricks with a Rubik’s Cube that stun the judges.

Plus, there was Olena Uutai’s one-of-a-kind act that will have you scratching your head and tapping your feet at the same time.

Making up the judging panel this year once more are Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

As always, acts need three or more yeses to make it through to the next round – and potentially on to the live shows.

At the end of the series, just one act will walk away with £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.
