The D-Day Darlings give touching performance on Britain’s Got Talent

The D-Day Darlings gave a touching performance on Britain’s Got Talent 2018 tonight.

The D-Day Darlings are a wartime themed choir of nine girls aged 27-39 who want to keep the wartime spirit alive.

The group performed ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn, accompanied by photos of their wartime relatives.

The ladies received high praise from the panel.

“I thought that was very classy, it was very emotional, it was beautiful, said Simon Cowell.

The group got four yeses through to the next stage of the competition.

As always, acts need three or more yeses to make it through to the next round – and potentially on to the live shows.

At the end of the series, just one act will walk away with £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.

Making up the judging panel this year once more are Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec will be present for the auditions, watching on from the sidelines with a comforting hug whatever the result.

Other acts this weekend include 52-year-old exam invigilator and comedian Noel James from Wales. Noel performs a stand-up routine.

And just when you think he’s going to play a tune on his acoustic guitar, Noel goes and entertains in a completely different way instead.

Meanwhile, singer Donchez Dacres made an impact on the Britain’s Got Talent judges this week with his original song Wiggle and Wine.

60-year-old AA man Donchez was born in Nottingham, moved to Jamaica and now lives in Wolverhampton.
