A 12-year-old Little Mix fan took to the stage of The Voice Kids this weekend.

New coach Jessie J joins returning coaches Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones in the spinning red chairs for series 3 this summer.

Saturday (June 15) saw blind auditions continue for the second weekend of the brand new season.

One of the acts who took to the stage in Saturday's latest episode was 12-year-old Freddie M from Derby.

12-year-old Freddie M from Derby declared himself Little Mix's biggest fan - and is even followed by Jade Thirlwall on Instagram.

"I've seen Little Mix five times. When Little Mix come out with a new choreography, I learn it the day it comes out. I post it on my Instagram and sometimes they see it," said Freddie.

He was even sent a video message from the group giving him their support before his big audition.

Performing Salute by Little Mix, Freddie gave it all with his singing and choreography.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get any of the four coaches to spin.

Jessie said: "That song is usually sung by four people... there was a lot going on. Just make sure each section is as good as it can be, it was the most daring audition we've had so far."

While Freddie didn't get through to the next round, he did get the coaches on stage to teach them some Little Mix choreography.

Fronted by Emma Willis, The Voice Kids is open to talented young soloists between the ages of seven and 14.

Up for grabs for the winner is a £30,000 bursary towards their musical education plus a dream family holiday to Orlando.

The public will ultimately crown the winner of The Voice Kids in a live final later this year.

Those who make it through the blind auditions will go on to compete in the battle rounds later in the series.

The Voice Kids continues Saturday nights on ITV.
