Following the fourth round of blind auditions on The Voice UK 2019, here's a look at the latest favourites in the competition.
Two newcomers to the betting from week four of the Voice UK’s blind auditions are rivalling long-running favourite Nicole Dennis having gone straight into the top spots in the market.
21-year-old Ilianna joined Team Will after the Black Eye Peas star was impressed by her rendition of ‘Location’ by Khalid and was the only coach to turn. It seems the other coaches may have missed a trick by not turning and fighting to have Ilianna on their team as she is the new 4//1 second favourite and is breathing down 5/2 favourite Nicole Dennis’ neck.
Another newbie has taken over third place in the betting, Team Olly’s Stefan Mahendra who is priced at 5/1 to go all the way and win after getting now coach Olly and Jennifer Hudson to turn with his version of Childish Gambino’s ‘Redbone’.
Nicole, who auditioned in week one, stunned with her rendition of ‘Never Enough’ and joined team J-Hud after a duet of Jennifer Hudson’s version of ‘And I Am Telling You’ with her now coach. She has been the punter’s pick to win with her odds being backed into 5/2 from 3/1 just last week.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Just last week it looked like Nicole Dennis was running away with the Voice UK title before the blind auditions even ended, but week four produced some impressive singers in the form of Ilianna and Stefan who have taken up second and third places in the betting at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.”
