26-year-old personal trainer Paige is one of 24 acts left on The Voice 2018 on ITV.

However she’s revealed a surprise X Factor past, performing on the rival series as a backing singer.

Paige from Essex also says she was “scouted” for the show, but felt The Voice was the better option.

She explained: “I’ve had some great times doing backing singing on The X Factor. I’ve been scouted a couple of times to do the show too but The Voice is definitely the best choice for me.

“I know who I am as an artist and I feel like the production team listen to you.”

Meanwhile, Paige revealed to OK! Magazine how she turned to her current career after narrowly missing out on a record deal in America.

“When I came back, that was the one time when I had a breakdown for a few weeks and I just thought, I don’t know if I can do it any more,” said Paige. “I decided to go on a course to be a personal trainer but as soon as I was doing that I thought, no, I need to sing.

“Through all the ups and downs, something always drags me back to music.”

Tonight will see Team Will’s Paige singing in the knockouts for a place in the live shows, performing Power by Little Mix.

In the knockouts, each singer will perform once for the coaches and a live studio audience.

The panel will all offer up their views on who was best, but the power over who goes through is solely in the hands of each mentor.

In Saturday’s episode, three singers from each team will perform before their coach must pick one to go through to the live shows.

The remaining trio in each team will perform next weekend, where the coaches will each select a second finalist for the live stages.
