In the 16 series so far, Anton’s best placing has been third place in the first series with Lesley Garrett way back in 2004.

But could Emma become Anton’s first partner to WIN the show?

Appearing on Virgin Radio with Chris Evans today, Anton said: “Well, this is a very exciting year, isn’t it? We’re doing steps and everything.”

“She’s lovely to dance with”, he said of soap star Emma. “It’s really lovely from my perspective, because I can talk to her like a proper dancer as opposed to sort of a sort of student beginner.

“She’s doing tremendously well.”

The pro dancer said he believes Emma can go “all the way” to the final.

“I do because I think she’s amazing. I think she is tremendous,” he praised.

This week for Halloween, Emma B and Anton will dance the Tango to Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach.

“We are playing King and Queens”, he said. “She is the Queen of Hearts and I’m the King of Clubs.”

The pair will have to win over the four terrifying judges, Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood, and Motsi Mabuse, who will score each dance out of ten.

Lines open at the end of the show, giving viewers a chance to vote for their favourite guys and ghouls.

On Sunday’s results, the judges scores and viewers votes will be added together to form tonight’s leader board.

The two couples with the lowest votes will then face each other in the dreaded dance off. The power is then in the hands of judges Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, as they decide who leaves the competition.

There’ll also be a dark and dramatic group dance from the Strictly professionals, as well as a musical performance from Adam Lambert.

Strictly airs Saturday 19 September, 6.35pm and Sunday 20 September, 7.15pm.
