This weekend the eight remaining couples danced to impress the viewers at home as well as judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.

The panel marked all the routines as usual before the lines opened for the viewers to vote for their favourite after the performances at Blackpool’s iconic Tower Ballroom.

In Sunday night’s results, the marks from the judges for their latest dances were added together and combined with the results of the viewer vote.

Who left Strictly Come Dancing 2018 tonight?

Those in the bottom were Kate Silverton and her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec and Graeme Swann and his professional partner Oti Mabuse.

Both couples performed their routines again, Graeme and Oti performed their Theatre & Jazz (Couples Choice) to The Trolley Song from Meet Me in St Louis, and Kate and Aljaz performed their American Smooth to Everlasting Love by Love Affair, in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

The judges then chose who to save and it was a unanimous decision.

It was the third time in the dance off for Graeme but it was Kate who left Strictly Come Dancing 2018 this week.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Graeme and Oti: “For technique and performance I’d like to save Graeme and Oti.”

Darcey Bussell chose to save Graeme and Oti: “This is really tough, but the couple I would like to save on a more energised and detailed performance is Graeme and Oti.”

Bruno Tonioli also chose to save Graeme and Oti: “Purely based on what I saw I have to go for the couple that gave the more accomplished and overall stronger performance and for that reason I think Graeme and Oti.”

Head Judge Shirley Ballas said she agreed with her fellow judges and would have saved Graeme and Oti.

When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Kate said: “You know I’m actually weirdly perversely, not that I would have wanted to go out, but on a night like tonight in such a place, I couldn’t have asked for anything better really. I got to dance twice, went up in a hot air balloon twice, and I loved it twice.”

“We have had what? Eleven weeks. And you have got me ballroom dancing. I am forever grateful to this man”

Aljaz was asked if he had any words for Kate, he said: “I can say it has been eleven weeks, I have to say we started every single dance from scratch and I am so impressed. Every week going out there and delivering incredible performances, for someone that has never performed in her life I am so incredibly proud of you.

“You have taught me so much, you’re such an incredible woman, you’re an incredible mother and thank you honestly it has been an amazing series. I’m never going to forget it and thanks to all of you who supported us.”

The remaining seven couples will return to the dancefloor once more next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One.
