Strictly Come Dancing's Ashley Roberts has denied having a 'secret romance' with Giovanni Pernice.
Ashley, who's dancing with Pasha Kovalev, was said to have already shared a kiss with Giovanni, who is dancing with Steps singer Faye Tozer.
The Sun reported that the couple - who are both single - were in the "early stages of a new romance" after enjoying nights out together.
“The spark between Ashley and Giovanni has become quite widely noticed among the crew – they just seem to really hit it off," a source claimed to the newspaper.
The insider claimed: “After the show each week they’ve been heading out for drinks together in London and just hanging out and looking very cosy. It’s very early days but it looks like things are going well – and of course they’re both single so it’s all totally innocent fun.”
Now Ashley herself has spoken out about the rumours, admitting that the pair have gone out for drinks but are not dating.
She explained: "We’ve gone out for drinks. He’s a lovely guy, but we are not dating.
"I’m so focused on the show right now, and really that’s where I want my focus to be. What happens after that, I don’t know. The right guy will come along at the right time. I believe in that," she told The Sun's Fabulous magazine.
Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley is one of the favourites to win this year's contest while Giovanni joined Strictly as a pro in 2015. He previously dated his first celebrity partner Georgia May Foote before the couple broke up in 2016.
The news follows the much more controversial kiss between comedian Seann Walsh and his pro partner Katya Jones. Seann had a girlfriend at the time while Katya is married to fellow Strictly pro Neil Jones. The pair said sorry for their actions when pictures of their snog made front page news.
Meanwhile, Joe Sugg has recently denied claims he and pro partner Dianne Buswell have also started a relationship.
Joe said of any romance with Dianne: “No, I don’t think so. I haven’t got time.
“But after the show finishes we’ll stay friends.”
All the rumours come despite Strictly bosses warning pros about getting into relationships with the celebs.
In an interview with BBC Five Live's Test Match Special Podcast last month, current Strictly star Graeme Swann said: "I think the pros were told wind your neck in.
"They were all very angry because they couldn't go to a couple of functions they wanted to. They were locked out. A curfew was placed upon them. It's very much being in the team. One person lets the side down."
Strictly Come Dancing is back on Saturday night with its Blackpool live show.
