Joe Sugg has denied rumours of a romance between himself and Dianne Buswell on Strictly Come Dancing.
It follows Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne splitting from her boyfriend.
The pro dancer, who joined Strictly last year, had been dating Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan for 10 months.
However their relationship is now over, a spokesperson for Dianne confirmed last week. A rep for Dianne said: “Due to their busy schedules and distance they have split but still remain really close friends.”
The news was followed by claims in the Daily Mirror newspaper that Dianne and Joe had become "inseparable".
An insider claimed: “Backstage they are inseparable even when they are not rehearsing. When they are sitting on sofas together there legs often intertwine and they are very tactile with each other.”
Another source claimed to The Sun newspaper: "They are not calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend just yet, but they’re definitely more than just friends. They are very fond of each other.
"They are hoping to stay in the contest for as long as possible and are trying to focus on dancing for now, but they’re seeing where things go.”
However, Joe himself told the tabloid of romance on Strictly: “No, I don’t think so. I haven’t got time.
“But after the show finishes we’ll stay friends.”
This weekend will see Joe and Dianne dancing the Foxtrot to Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer for the Halloween special.
Meanwhile, it's been claimed that Strictly Come Dancing's pro dancers have been issued a warning after Seann Walsh and Katya Jones' so-called 'snog-gate'.
Speaking to BBC Five Live's Test Match Special Podcast, current Strictly contestant Graeme Swann said: "I think the pros were told wind your neck in.
"They were all very angry because they couldn't go to a couple of functions they wanted to. They were locked out. A curfew was placed upon them.
"It's very much being in the team. One person lets the side down."
