Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Stacey Dooley runaway favourite to win

strictly come dancing 2018 week 5 cuts - 14

Stacey Dooley is the current hot favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2018.

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left irked when the judges, apart from Craig Revel Horwood, chose to save Seann Walsh, sending Vick Hope home instead. Craig has been vocal about his thoughts on Seann and professional dancer partner’s Katya’s cheating scandal which may have been the reason he voted for the pair to go on Sunday.

Stacey Dooley failed to top the leaderborad this week, instead scoring just 33 for her Samba, but it has had little impact on her odds as she has shortened to win. The BBC journalist is a hit with punters regardless of the judge’s scores as they continue to back her to win resulting in her odds being cut into 7/4 from 9/4.

Danny John-Jules scored the first 10 of the series and a total of 37 for his Jive that saw his odds slashed from 16/1 to 10/1.

Joe Sugg may have scored only 29 for his Waltz, but he was hailed as one to watch by the judges which saw punters rush to snap up his 5/1 odds. The fresh support for the YouTuber sees him lie second in line for the Glitterball trophy at 4/1.

Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Stacey Dooley is starting to become the untouchable favourite for the Glitterball trophy as her odds have further shortened to the now 7/4 favourite despite her score seeing her place joint third in the leaderboard as she was overshadowed by Danny John-Jules, Ashley Roberts and Charles Venn .”

She added “The judges may have decided to save Seann Walsh and Katya from the dance off, but the cheating scandal has undoubtedly tainted their time on Strictly and chances of winning as they see odds of 40/1.”
