The third live show of the BBC One dancing series ran between 6:30PM and 8:35PM as the fourteen celebrity couples all performed once more.
An average audience of 9.2 million viewers tuned in, up 800,000 viewers on last Saturday night with a peak audience of over 10 million for Movie week.
Ashley Roberts once again impressed the judges, dancing a Salsa to (I’ve Had) Time Of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes from Dirty Dancing. She and pro partner Pasha Kovalev nailed the iconic lift to score a personal best of 35 points.
But it was fellow popstar Faye Tozer who topped the leaderboard, dancing a Quickstep with Giovanni Pernice to You’re The One That I Want from Grease to score 36 points.
At the other end, Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova were bottom of the scoreboard after a Cha Cha Cha to The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis and the News from Back To The Future.
Over on ITV last night, The X Factor also rose as its latest episode climbed to 5 million viewers, up 400,000 on last week.
It was the third and final episode of the Six Chair Challenge ahead of judges' houses starting tonight with Simon Cowell.
Simon is joined in Beverley Hills by some 50 guests from the music business including Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Diane Warren and Ryan Seacrest. There's also former X Factor winner Leona Lewis and judges' houses regular Sinitta.
Singing in the Girls category are Bella Penfold, 19 from Essex, Georgia Burgess, 20 from Birmingham, Maria Laroco, 17 from Philippines, Molly Scott, 16 from County Durham, Scarlett Lee, 20 from Surrey and Shan, 25 from Croydon.
This evening will see The X Factor and Strictly clash for the first time this year.
Strictly returns tonight at 7:45PM on BBC One with its second results show while The X Factor begins at 8PM on ITV.
