Danny John-Jules (8/1) is the most likely male to win the show, while Susannah Constantine is currently the rank 100/1 outsider.

Alex Apati of bookmakers Ladbrokes said: "Ashley has headed the market from the word go but plenty seem to think Vick Hope will challenge her for this year's Glitter Ball."

The pro and celeb couples will now head into two weeks of intense rehearsals ahead of their debut live routine.

As well as the pairings, the Strictly launch show saw a spectacular red carpet event as the Strictly family dance to a medley of Nile Rodgers’ greatest hits performed by Chic and the man himself. Also in the show Craig David and Stefflon Don joined Nile and Chic to perform their new single.
