First Strictly Come Dancing 2018 trailer revealed as start date is confirmed

Here’s the first trailer for Strictly Come Dancing 2018 ahead of next month’s launch.

The new series begins in September on BBC One and a first teaser has been unveiled this weekend.

The one-minute clip features two pairs of genuine (sort of) dancing shoes with the strap line: “Find Your Dancing Shoes”.

“Time to dust off your dancing shoes ? ✨? Strictly is back on @BBCOne. Coming soon…” tweeted the BBC Strictly Twitter account.

The BBC confirmed this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 2018 cast earlier in the month, with fifteen celebs on the line up.

Author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner Katie Piper became the first celebrity to officially join Strictly this month. She was quickly followed by Vick Hope, Capital Radio DJ and TV presenter, Steps star Faye Tozer and the first ever YouTube vlogger to take to the Strictly ballroom, Joe Sugg.

More confirmed names for the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line up are England cricketer Graeme Swann, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules and Dr Ranj Singh, TV Doctor on This Morning.

Also announced are BBC Three documentary maker Stacey Dooley, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, BBC News journalist Kate Silverton and comic Seann Walsh.

They’re joined by Blue singer turned EastEnders actor Lee Ryan and Paratriathlete Lauren Steadman, while TV presenter and fashion journalist Susannah Constantine and Casualty actor Charles Venn complete the line up.

Meanwhile, the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 pros have been revealed.

The BBC Has confirmed three new pros for this year: They are Italian Latin Champion Graziano Di Prima, Professional South African Latin Champion Johannes Radebe and four-time winner of the Italian Dance Championship Luba Mushtuk.

But we have lost two Strictly professionals: Brendan Cole, a series original, and Chloe Hewitt, who joined in 2016, will both be leaving the show.

As for the judges, Shirley Ballas will return as head judge on Strictly Come Dancing for the next series, alongside Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

Strictly Come Dancing starts on Saturday, September 8 on BBC One.

The live shows kick off a couple of weeks later on September 22.
