After moths of speculation the full Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line up was finalised this week.

Author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner Katie Piper became the first celebrity to officially join Strictly this month. She was quickly followed by Vick Hope, Capital Radio DJ and TV presenter, Steps star Faye Tozer and the first ever YouTube vlogger to take to the Strictly ballroom, Joe Sugg.

More confirmed names for the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line up are England cricketer Graeme Swann, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules and Dr Ranj Singh, TV Doctor on This Morning.

Also announced are BBC Three documentary maker Stacey Dooley, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, BBC News journalist Kate Silverton and comic Seann Walsh. They’re joined Blue singer turned EastEnders actor Lee Ryan and Paratriathlete Lauren Steadman.

Television presenter and fashion journalist Susannah Constantine and Casualty actor Charles Venn complete the line up.

With the contestants now all announced, Pussycat Dolls star Ashley is the firm favourite to take the Strictly Come Dancing this year.

With half the field confirmed so far, the American singer, model turned TV presenter is by some distance the market leader with the Bookmakers.

Roberts is now around 3/1 across the board to take the Glitter Ball Trophy later this year.

“Being a former professional dancer, it is little surprise that Ashley Roberts is the early favourite,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“However, the odds at this point mean little – although you can get a great price on some – we don’t often see the winner in Strictly being the favourite.

“You have to remember the Judges don’t decide, it is a public vote and at the end of the day, it is a popularity contest as much as a dance competition.”
