Alexandra Burke got teary again on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight.

But viewers weren't showing much sympathy...

Tonight Strictly hit Week 9 of the competition and for one week only, Strictly packed its sparkly suitcases and relocated to Blackpool.

From the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom, the main show kicked off with a grand group performance from the celebs and pros.

The stakes were high as the celebrities and their professional partners were feeling the pressure as the Glitter Ball trophy is in sight and the Grand Final now only a month away.

Once again deciding who was on top form this evening were judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who scored the ten remaining celebrity couples.

Alexandra and her pro partner Gorka Marquez danced the Quickstep to The Gold Diggers’ Song (We’re In The Money) from ‘42nd Street’.

The performance got rave reviews from the judges and Alexandra left the floor with a near perfect 39 points, with only Craig holding out on giving a ten.

Chatting to Claudia Winkleman afterwards, Alexandra got emotional but those watching weren't feeling it.

Although many couldn't argue with her dancing amazing skills, Alexandra's tears weren't winning many fans.

"Oh shut up #Alexandra #strictly" one viewer snapped on Twitter.

Another tweeted: "Alexandra Burke is just not very likeable at all tbh. Calm ya baps woman. #Strictly"

A third added: "As good as Alexandra is (she's also got lucky with the music week after week & that helps) the tears seems so insincere #Strictly2017"

Agreed a fourth: "Granted, Alexandra can dance, but the girl irritates me no end! Everything about her is fake and forced. Ugh!! #Strictly2017"
