Over the years the one-off show has seen Strictly performances from BBC Newsreaders, the Stars of Call The Midwife and more.

For 2017, the Children In Need special will feature Blue Peter presenters past and present.

Six well-loved Blue Peter presenters from the past 60 years will enter the glitz and glamour of the ballroom as Mark Curry, Diane-Louise Jordan, Anthea Turner, Tim Vincent, Konnie Huq and Radzi Chinyanganya, will join forces with the Strictly professional dancers in a bid to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy for BBC Children in Need.

Diane-Louise Jordan - Blue Peter host from 1990 until 1996 - Partnered with Pasha Kovalev

Konnie Huq - Blue Peter host from 1997 until 1998 - Partnered with Neil Jones

Tim Vincent - Blue Peter host from 1993 until 1997 - Partnered with Dianne Buswell

Mark Curry - Blue Peter host from 1986 until 1990 - Partnered with Amy Dowden

Radzi Chinyanganya - Blue Peter host from 2013 to present - Partnered with Chloe Hewitt

In the Strictly Come Dancing Children In Need special, the celebs taking part will perform one group dance with their pro dancer.

Just like in the main show, judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood will be on hand to offer their opinions.

Presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman the special show will feature as part of the Children in Need 2017 Appeal Night on BBC One.

The BBC Children in Need Appeal Night is tonight, Friday 17 November 2017 live from the BBC’s Elstree Studios on BBC One, with the Strictly special airing during the telethon.
