Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood reckons Shirley Ballas has taken over as the show's villain.
New judge Shirley joined Strictly Come Dancing this year in place of Len Goodman, who stepped down after a decade last series.
As well as taking over his seat on the panel, Shirley has become the new head judge and has the casting vote in the dance off.
However her appointment to the line up has not been without controversy, especially following last Sunday's shock bottom two where Shirley sent favourite Aston Merrygold home.
Now long running Strictly judge Craig reckons that Shirley has installed herself as the new 'villain' of the show.
"Shirley is this year’s villain," he said, "She’s frighteningly technical with her criticism, and I know the audience might struggle with that.”
Craig added to The Sun newspaper: "She was a Halloween baddie in a Cruella de Vil costume – she totally channelled her.”
While some viewers may have turned on Shirley, with viewing figures up on last year show bosses are very happy.
“Shirley is a stickler for technique and she’s proud of her dance knowledge. She’s trying to ignore social media for a while and not let other people’s opinions get to her but it does get hard, especially when the abuse is so personal," a source revealed.
They explained: "Bosses are delighted with how she’s getting on and like her detailed critique.
"She’s been told to carry on and ignore the trolls.”
Strictly is back this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
