Joe McFadden has spoken out about claims he's been 'overmarked' on Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
Viewers accused new Strictly judge Shirley Ballas of poor scoring last weekend when she gave Joe and his pro partner Katya Jones a perfect 10.
It was only the second 10 of the series from Shirley but many felt the performance wasn't deserving of top marks.
"Shirley just gave Joe a 10?! Is she drunk 🤔 #Strictly" one viewer reacted on Twitter.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror about the criticism, Joe revealed: “I didn’t know that, that’s bad news."
He admitted: "When Katya and I looked back at the tape, we saw there was room for improvement. We hadn’t expected a 10. Our minds were blown.”
This week Joe and Katya will Foxtrot to Trouble by Coldplay for the show's Halloween special.
If the celebrities thought the dancefloor was scary before, they’re in for an even bigger fright tonight as Tess ‘Devilish’ Daly and Claudia ‘Werewolf’ Winkleman present what promises to be a spine-tingling show and the remaining 11 couples enter into the spirit of Halloween.
Deciding who has cast the best spell of the evening are judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who will score the remaining guys and ghouls.
The remaining ten couples will take to the dancefloor once more next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 28th October at 6.35pm.
And one more celebrity will leave in the latest results show on Sunday 29th October at 7.15pm on BBC One.
